Guraidhoo is also a very famous Diving Island: Guraidhoo Kandu (also known as Guraidhoo Corner) is one of the most famous dive sites and it was one of the first three Protected Marine Areas created in the Maldives to safeguard underwater life. Immediately North of Guraidhoo lies what at Beach Hotel Guraidhoo we consider to be one of the most beautiful Maldivian dive site: Kandooma Thila, also called Ranthila (the golden thila), the first place discovered in Maldives (and the second in the world) where Sharks, mainly Grey Reef Sharks, are often seen in “Cleaning station”. Most of the safaris stop here.
In season, diving with the giant Mantas could be a daily activity. A Manta Cleaning station is just 5 minutes away. It’s not uncommon to encounter them even while snorkeling.
In Guraidhoo we do have 2 dive centers: one is PADI; SSI the other one.
